CPI Partners, MARCO CATTANEO and ANDREA ANGELELLI , have a strong track record and many years of collective experience in sourcing, structuring, negotiating and monitoring M&A and Private Equity deals.
The vast majority of MC / AA deals had Italian family-owned enterprises as targets (SMEs).
MARCO CATTANEO has extensive experience in private equity and corporate finance:
Prior to founding CPI, he spent twelve years as Managing Partner with LBO Italia, a private equity boutique. He completed eleven transactions involving family–owned companies, including Bierrebi, Ceme and Geotea.
Prior to LBO Italia, he spent one year (1994) with UBS in Zurich, being involved in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance. Prior to that, Marco spent eight years with Montedison, one of the largest italian industrial groups, where from 1988 he led the Corporate Finance team, reporting to the Group CEO. He coordinated several M&A and capital markets transactions, including the Ferruzzi Finanziaria ITL 1 trillion IPO, the Montedison / Ferruzzi Agricola Finanziaria ITL 6 trillion share swap and the FF 9 billion Eridiana/Beghin–Say asset merger.
Marco holds a degree in Business Administration from the Bocconi University, magna cum laude. Marco is also actively involved in in the development of
macroeconomic proposals to reform the European monetary system and to solve the Euro crisis.
ANDREA ANGELELLI has an extensive experience in private equity and corporate finance:
Prior to joining CPI, he spent 10 years as Senior Investment Manager and then General Manager with Aletti Merchant Spa and Aletti Private Equity Sgr, management
companies for the private equity investments of the Banco Popolare Group (a listed Italian bank). Aletti Merchant had an equity portfolio investments with a total value of around € 200 million.
Aletti Private Equity managed two closed end funds with
total commitments of € 96 million. Prior to Aletti, he spent two years as Director with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance (valuations, M&A, corporate
finance advisory, transaction support, etc.).
Prior to Aletti, he spent three years as Investment Manager with BPC, a merchant bank based in Genoa owned by a local private bank. BPC managed a closed end fund with total commitments of € 34 million.
